One weeks has pasted again and well, new things have happened. Dogs have been training quite hard for the past 2 weeks and still a couple of training runs to go before dogs get a week and a half rest while i myself will spend some time with my family down south, sure my super handler also called my dad :D Said he will run the teams once or twice but lets see :)
So whats new?
We told you guys eariler that we have planed to go for 4 races next season but plans off course changes are a big part of a sleddog kennel. Orginal plan was to do Lapland Quest 250 in january, Bergebyloppet 240 in february, Finnmarksloppet 600 in march and Pasvik trail 240 in april. Now thing looks like we are skipping Bergeby couse of work and so we can train better from our kennel before Finnmarksloppet. At the moment Allright Racing Husky have signed up for Pasvik Trail 240 and Finnmarksloppet 600.

So what are the races?
First race that we signed up for was Pasvik Trail. Usally we sign up for the last race of the season later in the season but for some reason there was many mushers signing up for the race so we decided to also join the party by signing up a team for the open class (minimum 9 dogs), plan is as the last 3 years to run a 12 dog team there to test out some young or new dogs. Pasvik is a race that Kim has finished 3 times (2019 with borrowed dogs and 2022 and 2023 with our own superstars). It is kind of a tradition to do Pasvik in the end of the season to end the season with a great race. Pasvik is a race in the north part of Norway right in the middle of the Finnish and Russian border in Pasvikdalen. There is 2 cheakpoints in the race and the total distance is about 240km. The race it self is a great race to try out young dogs wgho have runned the whole season.
Seconde race that we signed up for was Finnmakrsloppet 600, that is the longest and toughest 8-dog race in the world and our main focus. Sign up opened 15.9 and we signed up right away so we dont miss the whole thing. Kim has runned Finnmark once before and finished the race in 3 days and 12 hours, finishing in 31 place. The total distance is roughly about 600km. Last time our team runned the race it was 6 cheakpoints but aperantly this year the cheakpoints have been cut to 5 and that also gives a change in the rules what comes to rest time, that will give the chance to rest more on the trail and camp out with the team. This is a change that we welcome very much, camping out was more like our style and plan for the race this season. The final rules have not been published yet but we are starting to make a race plan so we can train for that.
New superstar got there names!
Like i told in our last post we welcomed 2.9 six new pups in our kennel, out of Mora and Jim Beam. Well now they got names, my lovely wife came up with names for them after my step daughter decided one name for a female. The Boys got to be Dante, Dexter, Dean and Dalton while the two girls got the names of Dana and Daisy.
Puppys have been growing good and they are now two weeks old, still hard to tell whos standing out but we will take a closer look at them in a few weeks and tell you guys what they are up too. Mora sure is ready to go for a trainig run :D She tryed to get out of the puppy fence while i was training last time, but she will have to wait still before she can join the trainings.
Whats to come?
So whats next? Weather is getting colder and that means that dogs get more and more into training, we will still be training a few runs before our rest and at the moment i have a really good feeling about the dogs. Race wise we still wait for the registration for Lapland Quest 250 to open so we can sign up for the first race of the season and then be just focusing on training for the races. My mom is going to raise the pups to bee open pups and that is something shes been doing good with all our puppys. My dad is going to check ups some dogs that need massage and make sure that the dogs are in good shape for our next training period. Myslef will spend quality time with my loved ones and show them how much i love them and appreciate there support for this crazy lifestyle.
Thanks for reading and following our journey! For now mush on everybody :)
